Cabot Corporation, a leading U.S. specialty chemicals and performance materials company, has unveiled LITX 95F, a new high-performance conductive carbon additive specifically engineered for lithium-ion batteries within energy storage systems (ESS). This development targets the growing demand for robust and efficient battery solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
The LITX 95F grade is designed to deliver enhanced conductivity, extended cycle life, and improved processability, critical attributes for ESS units that undergo frequent charge and discharge cycles and require exceptional durability and stability. The material's high structure morphology is instrumental in achieving these performance gains, ensuring consistent conductivity and stability over the battery's operational lifespan.
Performance testing, particularly in pouch cells with thick electrode designs, has demonstrated LITX 95F's ability to maintain high capacity retention.
