Bucharest, Romania – Allview Energy, a specialized division of Visual Fan, has secured a significant EUR 9.2 million contract to develop and implement a 65 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for Renovatio Trading. This landmark agreement, announced on July 11, 2025, marks Allview Energy’s inaugural major power storage system contract and underscores Romania’s accelerating commitment to grid modernization and renewable energy integration.
The comprehensive project, slated for a seven-month implementation period, encompasses all critical stages from engineering and procurement to execution, full integration into the national energy system, and rigorous testing. Allview Energy will undertake this initiative in collaboration with partners Enersec Technology and TQM Services, leveraging state-of-the-art battery technologies and advanced energy flow control systems. The primary objective of the BESS facility is to enhance the balancing capabilities of Romania’s national grid and facilitate the seamless integration of green energy into daily consumption patterns.
Christina Munteanu, Economic Director of Visual Fan, emphasized the strategic importance of the contract. “The signing of this contract marks a defining moment in Visual Fan’s development journey, reflecting the company’s strategic maturity and the market’s growing confidence in our skills,” Munteanu stated. She added that the company has entered a new phase of consolidation and expansion since late 2024 and early 2025, attracting major projects that validate its strategic vision and implementation capabilities.
Lucian Peticilă, CEO of Visual Fan, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the company’s active role in shaping Romania’s energy future. “Visual Fan is happy to build this path together with Renovatio Trading, guided by the same vision: a clean, balanced and sustainable energy future for Romania,” Peticilă remarked.
This development occurs amidst a highly active battery market in Romania, further bolstered by recent regulatory advancements. Just days prior to this announcement, the National Energy Regulatory Authority of Romania (ANRE) approved a crucial regulation eliminating double taxation on energy storage. This policy change is expected to significantly accelerate the deployment of electricity storage solutions across the country, creating a more favorable investment climate for projects like the one undertaken by Visual Fan and Renovatio Trading. The 65 MWh BESS facility is poised to become a key asset in Romania's energy transition, providing essential grid services and supporting the nation's ambitious renewable energy targets.
