Cummins India has unveiled its Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), a cutting-edge solution designed to accelerate India's clean energy transition and enhance power reliability across key sectors such as manufacturing, data centers, commercial real estate, and mining. The system aligns with India's ambitious decarbonization goals and supports the integration of renewable energy sources like solar and wind.

The BESS enables industries to maximize green energy usage and optimize costs through features like peak shaving and energy shifting. Shveta Arya, Managing Director of Cummins India Limited, emphasized the system's role in India's evolving energy landscape: "India’s energy mix is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by climate commitments and rapid renewable adoption. Key features include Lithium Ferrophosphate (LFP) batteries, known for their safety and long cycle life, and an integrated liquid cooling system for optimal efficiency. The plug-and-play deployment ensures easy installation and flexibility across diverse environments. Supported by Cummins' global service network, the BESS reinforces the company's commitment to low-carbon power solutions and India's sustainable energy future.
