In June 2025 alone, TMNA sold 90,426 electrified vehicles, marking a 6.7% increase year-over-year on a volume basis and a 15.5% rise on a daily selling rate (DSR) basis. These electrified models represented a substantial 46.8% of Toyota’s total sales for the month. The momentum continued throughout the second quarter, with TMNA recording 320,817 electrified vehicle sales, a notable 29.7% increase on both volume and DSR bases compared to Q2 2024. This quarterly performance saw electrified models account for 48.1% of TMNA’s total sales, reflecting a clear consumer shift towards more fuel-efficient and lower-emission options.
Toyota’s diverse electrification strategy, which includes 32 electrified models across its Toyota and Lexus brands, appears to be resonating with consumers.
