The Andhra Pradesh government has granted approvals to several high-impact industrial and renewable energy projects, signaling a significant push toward economic and sustainable development. Among the key projects is a 350 MW Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) by Krishnapatnam Power Corporation Limited (KPCL), set to be established in Thamminapatnam and Mommidi villages of SPSR Nellore district. With an investment of Rs 1,225 crore, the project is expected to create 575 jobs and has been granted a waiver of Rs 54 crore in extension fees, contingent on completion within two years under the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy-2024.
In another development, Sangam Milk Producer Company Limited has been allocated 22.80 acres at MPSEZ in Naidupeta for Rs 50 lakh per acre to set up a milk and cultured products manufacturing unit. The Rs 112 crore project is projected to generate 400 jobs, bolstering the local dairy industry.
GINFRA Precisions Private Limited has secured 121.53 acres in Anantapur district for a Bi-Modular Charge Systems (BMCS) unit for 155 mm artillery guns. The Rs 1,150 crore investment is expected to employ 299 people, with phase-I obligations to be met within 14 months.
Additionally, Raymond Group announced a Rs 1,201.95 crore investment to establish textile, auto-component, and aerospace manufacturing facilities in Sri Satya Sai District. The projects, spanning Raptadu, Gudipalli, and Tekulodu, will create 6,571 jobs and benefit from tailored incentives, including land allocation, capital subsidies, and power tariff reimbursements.
These approvals reflect the state's commitment to fostering industrial growth and renewable energy adoption, aligning with broader economic and sustainability goals.
