Jinko ESS has commenced delivery of 476MWh of its SunTera G2 5MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system to a major PV+storage project in northern Jiangsu, marking the first phase of a 1GWh framework agreement. The project, designed to integrate distributed solar power plants with energy storage, aims to enhance renewable energy consumption and improve regional energy reliability. The SunTera G2 system is tailored for distributed PV applications, addressing challenges such as safety, cost-efficiency, and environmental adaptability. Its liquid thermal management system maintains cell temperature differences within 2.5°C, while a five-layer protection mechanism ensures resilience against high humidity and temperature fluctuations. The system boasts a 94% round-trip efficiency (RTE) and a lifecycle of over 8,000 cycles, making it a robust solution for long-term energy storage. Damon Duan, General Manager of Jinko ESS China, emphasized the system's role in advancing solar-plus-storage applications.
